Instruction Time
The instruction time is designed with each age group in mind. Throughout the week, campers will learn the choreography, music, and lyrics to their group's set of five songs.
Our campers work hard, but we always make time for fun games, silly stories, and everyone's favorite... POPSICLES!

Our silent auction is a vital part of our Angels Gala. This year's auction items include a getaway to Orange Beach, a weekend at Smith Lake, gift cards to various local businesses, SSO Registration Fast Pass, HSO Ticket Sales Fast Pass, and much more.

Celebration Day
Thursday is our BIG Celebration Day!
We love to celebrate our campers who have attended camp for five or more years. These campers receive a fun celebration wristband for each year they have attended SSO. The festivities culminate with the famous "Celebration Tunnel" of counselors.
We also celebrate Old T-Shirt Day! We have a fun "Style Show" of all the years of old t-shirts, and the oldest t-shirt wins a special prize!
If you would like to purchase an old t-shirt, there is a limited supply in our camp store.
Skit Time and Vocal Workshop
After Lunch, 1st - 6th graders attend a skit performed by the counselors. It is pure silliness full of improv and cliffhangers. Each group's songs are woven into the plot for extra exposure. All the campers have so much fun singing along!
During this time, 7th - 12th graders attend Vocal Workshop where they sharpen all their performance skills including:
vocal techniques, audition tips, and showmanship.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE JACKSON CAMP
Important Information About the Jackson Camp
Due to incredibly high demand, we have opened one additional Saturday show exclusively for our Jackson week for only 1st & 2nd and 3rd & 4th grade groups.
In Jackson alone, the show times will be:
Friday: 10:00 AM, 2:30 PM, 7:00 PM
Saturday: 12:00 PM
Each show on Friday will have unique groups of 1st - 12th grade campers. Saturday will have one mini show of a 1st & 2nd grade group and a 3rd & 4th grade group. Saturday show campers do not need to attend camp on Friday, but they are always welcome to come watch their friends and family perform from the audience!

JULY 10 - 14 CAMP WEEK
Important Information About the Birmingham July 10 - 14, 2023
Due to incredibly high demand, during the July 10th - 14th camp week, exclusively in Birmingham, we will have two show times. The 10:00 AM show will have three groups perform, 1st & 2nd, 3rd & 4th, 5th & 6th. The 2:30 PM show will have two groups perform, 1st & 2nd and 3rd & 4th. This camp week only, in Birmingham alone, there will be no 7th - 12th grade group performing.
Every other camp week of SSO 2023 in Birmingham will have every group from 1st-12th grade campers.

Solo Day
At SSO, Tuesdays are SOLO DAY!
What makes SSO unique is that every child has the opportunity to sing a solo. All of our music is arranged and set in a special key to ensure that every child feels confident when it is time to shine. Each camper's solo will be clearly marked by their counselor on the lyrics in the camper's take-home folder.
