Jamie Wright is a graduate of Belhaven University with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Music Education. She has taught at Jackson Academy for 20+ years. She taught first grade for 15 years and has been teaching second grade for 6 years.  During her time at JA, she has been assistant choral director for the sixth grade choir "Finale" for two years and director for two years.  She is currently the children's music director for her church, Parkview Church.

 

Jamie is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Jackson and the Madison-Ridgeland Jr. Auxiliary.  She is married to her husband, Ellis Wright, and they have 3 children, Lori (Eric), Michael (Anna), and John (Whitley). She has five beautiful grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann, Seth, Wright, and Susannah who enjoy their Summer Show-Offs camp every year, and one brand new granddaughter born this April!
