Emily O’Rear is originally from Oneonta, Alabama, and now resides in Birmingham. She is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. During her time at State, Emily was a member of the MSU Dance Team and got to travel the country cheering on the Bulldogs.

 

With over 20 years of dance experience, Emily has an extensive background of professional training and choreography. After graduating from college, Emily spent time in Atlanta as a professional dancer in the Atlanta Hawks Organization before moving back to Birmingham to cheer in the United States Football League.

 

She is a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church and has served there in the past as the Children’s Worship Coordinator and Children’s Choir Director. Emily has been a part of Summer Show-Offs since 2018, when she started as a counselor in the summer. Since then, she has moved into several roles and now serves as the Marketing and Communications Director.
