Cecile and Robyn began Summer Show-Offs in 1989 to inspire and nurture the talents of young people. As Co-Directors, Cecile and Robyn work together to create a comfortable environment where students can reach their full potential.
Cecile McNeel Martin received her Bachelor of Music Education from Mississippi University for Women in 1982. While there, she performed in the musical groups “Meh Ladies” & “The Masker’s Washboard Band”. She later received her Masters Degree in Voice from Mississippi State University, where she also taught voice. Cecile founded & directed the show choirs: Visions, Sophisticats, & Pizzazz while teaching in the Grenada, Mississippi School System. During her long career, she has been a featured instructor in Boston, MA with American Show Choir Camps. She has served as a guest clinician for show choir camps throughout the southeastern United States. Cecile was selected to be a professional exchange instructor in London, England where she was instrumental in developing a music curriculum for junior high & high school choral music programs. She has been a vocal clinician for the Mississippi Baptist Convention, the 4H Clubs of America, and the Mississippi Fine Arts Association. Robyn McGonagill Meredith
Music can change lives! As a former student of Cecile Martin, Robyn is a firm believer in the Summer Show-Offs process: Building confidence and character through song and dance. She is a product of this philosophy. Her life was forever changed through music. She continually testifies of the confidence she gained through music. Robyn is a native of Mississippi and has been involved in teaching performance techniques for over 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at Delta State University. While at DSU, Robyn toured the United States and Europe as a vocalist. She founded and directed the show choirs Encore and Crescendo while teaching music in Mississippi. Robyn lives in Birmingham, Alabama, where she is a member of Church of The Highlands. She is married to Jason Meredith and they have two children, Morgan and Corbin. firstname.lastname@example.org

Carolyn Bomar Bakke got her start in music performance in Cecile’s first show choir, Visions, as a senior at Grenada High School in Grenada, Mississippi. She earned her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science at Mississippi State University & moved to Huntsville, AL to work in the software industry for 16 years. In 2008, after serving as Executive Director at Huntsville Intergraph, Carolyn decided to spend more time with her family. Although Carolyn still consults part-time in the software industry, she is now a full-time wife & mom, supporting her children’s growing interest in the arts. Carolyn has been seen as “Mrs. Fezziwig” in Fantasy Playhouse’s 2007 & 2008 musical productions of A Christmas Carol and also played “Mrs. Cratchit” in the 2009 production. She was also seen in the chorus of Renaissance Theatre’s 2009 musical,Batter Up. She sings with multiple contemporary groups & is a storyteller for the chilldren’s ministry at First United Methodist Church. Wendy Brendle was born and raised in Columbus, Mississippi. She attended college at Mississippi State University. After receiving her Bachelor of Education degree in Fitness Management, she finished her formal education with a master's degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Alabama. While at MSU, Wendy sang with a contemporary Christian band and, after moving to Montgomery, sang in a country band. In an effort to instill a love for music in her children, she began driving her girls from Montgomery to Auburn every summer to Summer Show-Offs camp as soon as they were old enough to participate. Little did she know that only a few years later she would be coordinating SSO in Montgomery. Wendy lives in Mongtomery, Alabama, with her husband, Kent, and three children, Gray, Cate Scott, and Brooks. She is a member of First Baptist Church, Montgomery, where she sings in the choir and teaches preschool choir. Priscilla Burris Priscilla Burris earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Mississippi State University in 1984, and worked in
her professional career for twelve years in her hometown of Jackson, Mississippi. As Manager of Product Development for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of
Louisiana, Priscilla was responsible for the research and
development of corporate healthcare plans and services, as well as administrative implementation and training.
The Burris family moved to Birmingham in 1997, where Priscilla became a full
time wife and mom. This included volunteer work at the school, as well as other
clubs and organizations. Once her youngest child reached high school (driving
age!) she decided to return to the workforce, and became the Administrative
Director for Birmingham United Soccer Association (BUSA). During her four years
with BUSA she was responsible for player registration, organization / coordination
of club activities, and club communication for all competitive and recreational
Priscilla retired from BUSA in 2012, but after both children married (empty
nesters!) she returned to the work force in August, 2015, as the Registration
Coordinator for Summer Show-Offs in the Birmingham corporate office. She is
happy to have joined her "Mississippi friends" in their passion to inspire and
nurture the talents of young people, and loves hearing testimonials from the
parents about how Summer Show-Offs has impacted their children.
Priscilla and her husband Tom are members of Oak Mountain Presbyterian
Church. They have two children, Keeley (Drew) and Chris (Christin), and three

Meredith Clement is from Birmingham, Alabama. She attended Auburn University and the University of Montevallo and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Deaf Education. She worked with Campus Outreach until starting her family and homeschooling her children for 19 years. The Clement family was first introduced to SSO in 2008 when their daughter, Olivia, began attending SSO camps and HSO, which she continued until she graduated from high school. Meredith joined the SSO administrative team in 2015. She and her husband have four children: Neil Jr. (Paige); Emily (Austin); Andrew (Morgan) and Olivia. Stephanie Coons is from Birmingham, Alabama. She attended Samford University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Early and Elementary Education. While there, Stephanie was a member of the A Capella Choir and Samford Singers. As a member of these groups, she had the opportunity to perform in several countries and tours throughout the Southeast. Also, during her time at Samford, she was a member of SGA, participated in numerous Step Sing committees and ultimately directed Step Sing her senior year. Upon graduation, Stephanie taught kindergarten and 3rd grade until her daughter was born. Her first introduction to Summer Show-Offs was when her daughter attended SSO as a kindergartner. Stephanie has been working for Summer Show-Offs since 2014. She lives in Birmingham with her husband, Joey. They have one daughter, Ella. Emily O’Rear is originally from Oneonta, Alabama and now resides in Birmingham. She is a recent graduate of Mississippi State University where she earned a degree in public relations. During her time at State, Emily was involved with Theatre MSU and studied voice under Dr. Christopher Withrow. She also had the opportunity to travel and perform on football sidelines and basketball courts all over the country as a member of the Mississippi State Dance Team. She was very involved with Calvary Baptist Church in Starkville and helped lead the children's choir there. Before moving to Starkville, Emily attended Samford University, where she was on the Samford University Dance Team and was director of the Step Sing group, Crossover. For the past six years, Emily has been teaching dance and choreographing at various studios throughout Alabama and Mississippi, including Dale Serrano Dance Studios, Neely Arts Performance Company, and Academy of Competitive and Performing Arts. She also worked as an instructor for the Universal Dance Association. In addition to dance, she has over 15 years of pageant experience and has held titles at the local, state, and national levels. Taylor Sivley is originally from Hartselle, Alabama and recently graduated from Auburn University. During her time at Auburn, she was a member of all of the Auburn University Choirs, and took vocal lessons from Rosephanye Dunn-Powell. She also taught private piano and voice lessons. While at Auburn in 2018, Taylor had the opportunity to sing "For Good" with Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth. For the past nine years, she has been choreographing show choir shows and musicals for schools including: Auburn University, Auburn HS, Briarwood HS, Eufaula HS, Tallassee HS, Hartselle HS, Oak Mountain Middle, Opelika Middle, and Auburn JHS, as well as some others. Eron Smith was born & raised in Auburn, Alabama. After graduating from Auburn High School in 2002, he went on to pursue a career in music education at Auburn University. While attending the university, Eron choreographed for various schools around the state such as Berry MS, Benjamin Russell HS, Prattville HS, Eufaula HS, Auburn JHS, & Auburn HS. During the 2006 Auburn University football season, Eron was asked to sing at the Auburn vs. Florida pre-game show. After graduating from Auburn, Eron had the opportunity to return to his alma mater, Auburn HS, as the Choral Director. In addition to teaching show choir, he also leads worship at Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Eron now lives in Opelika, Alabama with his wife, Mary. Eron & Mary will be traveling with Summer Show-Offs to all camps in Mississippi & Alabama serving as Instructors, as well as directing the Summer Show-Offs camps in Auburn, AL.
Mary Smith is originally from Homewood, Alabama. While studying music education at Auburn University, she received vocal instruction from the nationally recognized composer and vocalist, Dr. Rosephanye Dunn-Powell. She has worked extensively with East Alabama Children's Choir and East Alabama Youth Chorale, choreographing two musicals: Annie and The Music Man. Mary taught music and choir to grades Pre-K through 12th at Lee-Scott Academy in Auburn, Alabama, and started their first ever competitive show choir, Higher Glory. She presently serves as Creative Co-Director and Head Instructor for Summer Show-Offs. Since 2008, Mary has served as Assistant Director to all competitive show choirs at Auburn High School. She also teaches priviate voice and piano. She serves as pianist, choir director and worship leader at Rocky Mount Baptist Church. Jamie Wright is a graduate of Belhaven University with a major in elementary education and a minor in music. She has taught first grade at Jackson Academy for 15 years. During her time there she has been the assistant choral director for the sixth grade choir “Finale” for three years and choral director for two years. She directs and leads children’s choirs and musicals for Parkview Church. Jamie is a sustaining member of the Jr. League of Jackson and the Madison-Ridgeland Jr. Auxiliary. She is married to Ellis and has three children- Lori (Eric), Michael (Anna) and John - and four beautiful grandchildren: Elizabeth Ann, Seth, Wright, and Susannah. email@example.com
